Our History
Timberland Supply Co. Ltd. was founded in October of 1959, starting as a dealer of chainsaws and related products. We quickly grew into the importer of Stihl products for all of Canada from Ontario west.
As times change, so do business models, and in the 1980's, Stihl of Germany decided to take over distribution of Stihl products with their own direct branches in most countries. After they took over the distribution from us, Timberland Supply started evolving upon a new path of our own, becoming dealers for several product lines, most notably Honda Power Equipment.
Since taking on the Honda Power Equipment line in the late 1980's, we have continued to change and evolve into carrying several lines of power equipment. Most notable of these has always been the Honda Power Equipment, which is now accompanied by several other well known names - such as Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Echo Bearcat and Jonsered (to name a few).
To support the power equipment we sell, we are also a Briggs & Stratton Master Dealer, and a Kohler Expert Dealer. In addition, we are the warranty service center for all the above products and also for Tecumseh, MTD, Murray, Simplicity, Dolmar (and more).
Most recently, starting in 2001, we have taken another evolutionary step and become Kamloops' only full line Honda Marine dealer. To go with the Honda Marine, we have taken on the Lowe boat line of car topper fishing and Jon boats.
As of October, 2009, we have been appointed the Echo Signature Dealer for Kamloops Area. This means that we sell, supply parts for, and service all of the lines that Echo Canada carries. These lines include Echo Power Equipment, Shindaiwa Power Equipment, Bearcat Power Equipment, BCS Power Equipment and the Little Wonder/Mantis.
